Whilst the government are adamant that they will stick to their decision of not allowing Child Trust funds and the new Junior ISAs to be merged, their is growing pressure against this decision from parents and many support groups.
It is believed that millions of Children are now trapped with a Child Trust Fund and are not permitted to change or merge their CTF with the new Junior ISA.
The Junior ISA offers a wider range of investment choices and options unlike the Child Trust Fund and we believe that we should not punish a whole generation of children who are now stuck with this investment product.
Many of these Children have had a Child Trust fund opened on their behalf by the government and we feel it is unfair to the many parents, grandparents, family members and friends who have struggled to put money away inside the Child’s Trust Fund to be now stuck with an inferior product.

Should the petition receive enough signatures then the government will be forced into a parliamentary debate to discuss merging the Child Trust Fund with the Junior ISA.
