Here are a few of our most commonly asked questions regarding our Ethical Junior ISA:
Can Grandparents open a Junior ISA Account for their grandchild? Only the person with full legal parental responsibility for the Child can open a Junior ISA on their behalf. However, once the account has been opened and is active, anyone can contribute towards it including Grandparents, family & friends.
What if the Child already has a Child Trust Fund (CTF)? If the Child already holds a Child Trust Fund then they are not eligible for a Junior ISA.
Can I Transfer My Child’s Trust Fund To A Junior ISA Account? At the moment, you cannot transfer a Child Trust fund to a Junior ISA. We are helping all we can to change this rule, please visit our Transfer Child Trust Fund To Junior ISA page for further details which also contains a link to the online petition on the HM Government website.
